Dr. Smith can perform various surgeries in the out-patient and in-patient environment. Typical out-patient procedures include sterilization with tubal occlusion or resection, uterine ablation for management of heavy menses, diagnostic hysteroscopy and laparoscopy to investigate intra-uterine and intra-abdominal causes of pain, abnormal bleeding, and ovarian cysts.

Some hysterectomies can be also done out-patient, but some require in-patient hospital stays. Surgical as well as office procedures are available to treat varying degrees of pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence.
